Pizza Hut manager offered job back after claim he lost it for Thanksgiving stand

Pizza Hut boss who refused to force staff to work Thanksgiving says he's no hero

By Faith Karimi, CNN
November 29, 2013 -- Updated 0033 GMT (0833 HKT)

Summary: Tony Rohr, 28, had worked for the Pizza Hut franchise in Elkhart, Indiana for 10 years. On Thanksgiving Day, he refused to open the market and got fired. He said the only day that he can be with his family is Thanksgiving Day and Christmas. So the Pizza Hut asked him to come back to work and we don't know his response yet.

Opinion: I think he made a great proposal. He has right to go meet his family on Thanksgiving Day. It is the only day he doesn't open in whole year (except Christmas). I think Pizza Hut did a good job that offered him a job back.

Summary: On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy was assassinated and died. Jeff Franzen was just a little boy, 6 years old, when he saw the moment. He thought the sound of a gun were firecrackers. However, it was the gun shot.

Opinion: Today is the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's assassination. It is really sad that someone is killed by others. He will be remembered forever and people will remember what he had done during his presidency.

Mammoth U.S. Navy ships arrive in the Philippines to help typhoon victims

By Andrew Stevens, Ben Brumfield and Chelsea J. Carter, CNN
November 14, 2013 -- Updated 1154 GMT (1954 HKT)

Summary:
U.S. Navy arrived in the Philippines with food and water. Philippines is having a hard time with having food and water. Typhoon went over the Philippines and houses were destroyed and people does not know where to rebuild their home. Every one in Philippines need food and water. They need help.
My Opinion:
I have went to Philippines before and I thought this type of disaster would not happen in here. However, when I heard the news, I was really shocked. Maybe some of my friends there might have lost their homes. I am really sure that they need supplies from other countries. I saw the news and saw the video of Philippines right now. It is really terrible and it will take a lot of time to recover all the effect of the typhoon. I thank to U.S. and I  appreciate it.
